Martin has been attending the BCLS Night Service every fortnight to observe and gain experience as he transitions from maxillofacial surgeon to volunteer legal practitioner. He has also generously hosted BCLS staff and volunteers at his residence for a Christmas Function last year and a recent Law Week celebration.

What is the best part of your role with BCLS?
Acknowledging the vast variety and scope of legal problems within the community and well as gaining significant insight into the psychological and stressful effects of these problems for our clients, in particular the area of the family law.

I would volunteer my time as a mentor to encourage and motivate people to achieve the best they can do in their lives.

Transport Accident Commission established by the Transport and Accident Act 1986 (Vic) covers injuries and deaths occurring in Victoria BUT it also covers accidents outside Victoria if the vehicle is registered in Victoria and the person injured was a Victorian resident or a driver or passenger in a Victorian registered motor car.
