In celebration of International Volunteer Day (5th Dec) and to recognise and thank our wonderful volunteers for the contribution they make to our service, we are holding an afternoon tea on Tuesday 6th December at the Carousel, Geelong Waterfront.
We have invited around 100 volunteers who are either still actively assisting our service or who have volunteered in the past 2015-2016 financial year. This includes private lawyers and law students who augment our daily legal service delivery and also some 60 migration agents and admin volunteers who assist Asylum Seekers to complete their applications for a Temporary Protection Visa (TPV) or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV) under our Seeking Refuge Project. Without the commitment and dedication of these volunteers we would be unable to provide the scope, quality and variety of services that we do and we sincerely thank them for their time and work.
